Embrace
Purple Drill Presents ‘Embrace’.
‘Embrace’ is a mixed media project that uses film, photography, dance and interview to explore the relationship between skin complexion, identity, womanhood and self-love. This short film aims to further the conversation about self-perception and acceptance, whilst challenging the mainstream idea of beauty in the media.
‘Embrace’ is an authentic and bold showcase of African talent and artistry. Seen from the clothing made by designers in Nigeria and Togo, to the dancers showcasing African beauty and African dance. This showcase of African artistry is also reflected from behind the camera with a crew of talented individuals that are all from African descent.
